Frequently Asked Questions

What is an arc?

ARC stands for Advance Review Copy or Advance Reader Copy. These are free copies of books given to people before the official release so that books have some ratings upon release. People who receive ARCs are expected, but not required, to honestly review a book by or shortly after the publication date.

Check below to find sign ups for any of my books that currently have ARCs available. If you are chosen for an ARC and complete your review + stay in good standing, you’ll be on the shortlist for future books.

  1. Sign up on the forms for the particular book you’re interested in below!
  2. Once you sign up, you’ll be notified via email if you are getting an ARC copy! My with my current process, you’ll be able to download your book to your kindle or eReader via BookFunnel. This may change in the future.
  3. Once you read the book, leave an honest review where ever you normally review books. Examples include StoryGraph/GoodReads and/or social media.
  4. I’ll send you a link to “turn in” your review at the end if you want to be considered for future opportunities and win prizes, as well as a “typo finder” form.
    • The typo finder form is for people kind enough to point out any issues they found while reading (things get missed no matter what!). People who fill it out will receive entry into a giveaway for swag and a physical copy of the book.
  5. Do not share ARCs. Doing so will get you blacklisted from future ARC opportunities from me (and possibly other authors).

While I hope you love my book and will leave me a glowing review, I want honest reviews! Not every book is for every person, and that’s okay!

Tagging me in good reviews on social media is wonderful and I’ll likely share them! Please don’t tag me in bad or critical ones though. That makes me sad 🙁

You are not required to review at all, though it is appreciated.

If you didn’t finish it because you were busy, I’d prefer you to not rate it, but you do you.

If you didn’t finish it because you hated it, it’s up to you whether you want to rate it or not.

Anywhere you look for reviews! Typical places include Goodreads, Storygraph, Amazon (only available after publication date), BookBub, and social media.
